white-faced with itch
Observation details
Seen among 40 or so ibises in the marsh behind Indian River Cemetery. This group of ibis has been hanging out a little to the right of the area one would survey when looking directly out from the cemetery shed area. So you might have to walk a bit east and then look out between the limbs and phragmites to see them in the marsh. I have scoured through the ibises at Indian River nearly every day since their return to the area without luck. This ibis seen today, I believe, more than any other I've seen so far this year, is the white-faced ibis. It was identified with a scope, but I took some very lousy pix, for which I apologize. Access to the back of the cemetery, which is directly across the street from the Clinton Town Hall, is down Cemetery Road (between the church and the fire station).
