Observation details
I observed a male bird in the sandy area on the northwest side of the lower portion of Burrage Pond (Burrage Pond - Lower Reservoir on google maps) This area is easily accessed by the entrance on Elm St. (across from the Smith-Nawazelski Conservation Area parking lot). The bird was mostly blue with rufous wingbars, but bigger than an Indigo Bunting with a larger head and bill. It was frequently foraging on the ground and moving towards the edge of the working cranberry bog abutting the WMA to the southwest.
