Observation details
Only godwit on Avocet pool. Partially moulted 2CY in non-breeding/basic plumage, still retaining some juvenile wing coverts, scapulars and mantle feathering, with others replaced with similar grey feathering. Combined with deep-based bill warming to peach-orange and sloping forehead peaking behind eye, suggest L3.
