Media notes
A male Gambel’s Quail—perhaps the hoarsest I’ve ever heard—is singing repeatedly from ca. 5’ above ground in a mesquite that is just starting to leaf out. Background includes: a quietly singing Curve-billed Thrasher. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME62 & Telinga Universal 22" parabola.
