Observation details
Found by Amanda W. earlier in the day, this bird stood out from the over 200 GRYE that were present in the marsh. Pale white belly with no streaking, brown above with little to no pattern visible. Photos taken by Mike Ferguson show the difference in plumage from adjacent GRYE. During the time we were there we were not able to pick the bird out in flight or have a clear view of its legs to help determine whether the bird was indeed a Common Greenshank or an aberrant yellowlegs. Without further diagnostic field marks we are leaving it as shorebird sp.
