Observation details
FOY; Caramel brown bird the size and shape of a Northern Mockingbird. Saw it fly across the field to the woods. I tracked it along the edge of the woods for awhile. It sang periodically but the trees were so dense I couldn't get a photo. After awhile it flew back across the field to the old horse farm where it perched and sang. I have several audio recordings but they are not ideal because of the Mockingbirds, Jays and Red-wings that are also squaking. This is a long established breeding area for the Thrashers. Right on schedule. Arrives between April 22nd and 25th each year.
