Observation details
I was hesitant to report this as the species as opposed to domestic but the more I look at the photos really do think it is the species. It was last reported on April 8 with the comment of “must be injured”. If it’s injured it’s making it somehow. Description: medium-sized goose with gray to gray-brown head, face, neck, chest, and back; white behind bill and white along wing edge; rear-end doesn’t look oversized and dumpy. Bright legs show in photo even underwater. Did not see it try to fly. Neither of its wings looked misshapen but we only got a good look at its one side. Noticeably smaller than the Canada Goose that swam by it closely.
