Observation details
Beautiful Sandpipers. Tall, slender birds with long thin necks. Short yellow bills and smallish rounded head. Large white eyerings. Almost cartoonish with the small head any large eyering. Third time was the charm to get eyes on these adorable birds. Watched them for about half and hour, however heat shimmer made viewing difficult as they moved back further into the airfield. Some poor photos (blasted heat shimmer). All three birds were clearly visible at the same time intermittently.
