Observation details
Apparently found by Kendall on Tom S’s Brooklyn Bird Club walk earlier this morning, and thanks to Valerie for getting the word out. High up near the Southeast corner of the Boulder Bridge in the Midwood, where it wasn’t especially hard to find, its reedy camouflage rather out of place atop a mostly bare tree in the middle of the woods—further showing that an American Bittern could be found just about anywhere in the park during migration.
