Observation details
Rare for Date and Location: Continuing species at this location for the past month; reported often. At the west side of Marine Pkwy. Bridge, observed 3 RNGRs. 2 almost always together, the other alone mixing with Scaup. Fairly close to the shoreline opposite Ft.Tilden. All 3 in full breeding plumage--grayish/white cheek, black cap, long COLO-like bill black on top yellow below, and long reddish neck. Did not hear vocalization, but one seemed to be vocalizing as seen with mouth opening. Time: appx.11:00am. Photos.
