Observation details
The Island landlords whose raucous calls reverberated far and wide were quite majestic. They were bound by duty, busy procuring fish for their hungry younglings nearing adulthood. In constant movement like clockwork they descended on the island like tiny missiles raining down. Counted about 250 perched and easily 150 in flight just above. The numbers were definitely higher as the birds were seen returning from far with fresh catch. Block counting was done. The only time, the rocks were devoid of any Tern was when the Eagles came. Those massive beauties caused chaos, making even the young ones take flight. But the Eagles did face a backlash, as a few bold terns chased them far far away from their breeding site.
