Observation details
Continuing. First saw it sitting on the old runway with Cliff swallows. Compared closely with Cliff and Barn swallows. Buffy throat that wrapped around neck to form a collar. Forehead was dark as compared to the light forehead of most Cliff swallows. I did see one Cliff with a dark forehead, but it did not have a buffy throat and had a darker, rufous throat. The Cave also had a darker rump as compared to a lighter rump expected on a Cliff. It flew around and over me for a few minutes and sometimes came as close as 10ft. Poor photo attached. The white glare on the head is from sunlight, it is not a white forehead patch.
