Observation details
Now this was the biggest highlight for me!!! The ashen colours were what got me onto this Currawong, which also looked a fair bit bigger and pointier in general than a Pied... and then, very conveniently and quite handsomely, it came swooping in right in front of me, peering beadily down as I fired off some shots; as it flew, the grey rump was very clear to see... it's always a delight to see these mainland Greys, with their almost silvery colours, but to have one in the middle of the city was a real treat!! (Strangely, it seems the opinion of the experts is that this is in fact a Pied... it was an awful lot paler than any Pied I've ever seen!!)
