Observation details
Hanging around the central area of the park. Alternating between foraging on lawns and perching in trees. Gave "kleew" calls regularly. Male with black malar and red nape crescent, but red underwings and tail shafts. My best views yet of an intergrade! Photographed from a variety of angles, but no excellent photos. A couple photos, including the second photo below, suggest some red in the black malar on the bird's right side, but I didn't notice this in the field.
