Observation details
Extraordinary gathering of Brahminy Kites I’ve not witnessed before. Started with one pair circling overhead just behind the freshwater lagoon. As I watched them drift north I turned and a group of five including two juveniles flew by quite low in the direction of the the orginal two. They soon joined up and I could see seven circling togther. As I watched I soon became aware of two other raptors lower down. As I got the bins on these two I realised they were also Brahminy Kites. I could now see Nine in the one view! I watched this group disappear to the north and turned around to see yet another one circling near the motorway.
