Observation details
Two individual birds were seen flying from East to West over C C Camp Road and then directly over Cane Creek Lake. The pair was flying parallel to one another with one bird roughly 30 feet ahead of the other. Both birds were making a distinct nasal call distinguishing them from American Crows. These calls were recorded using the Merlin app to confirm their identity. In the audio recording, two calls can be heard nearly at the same time from both birds. The second call is quieter due to the distance between the two birds. I remained in this same location for a few minutes after the birds had flown by. At this time, a third bird was seen flying in the same direction as the two birds originally spotted. This bird was also making the distinct nasal call as it passed. No recording was captured for this bird. I do not believe this bird to be one of the original pair due to the short amount of time between each sighting.
