Part 2: unique caroling song after the recorded 'hisselly' song in part 1, sung by the same male after moving away from the pair of robins. His posture was normal.
Observation details
Along a power line right-of-way and rarely used road, I recorded an amazing male with unusual songs. In the first 'hisselly' recording, it was near two other robins when vocalizing and in a stooped posture. The only possible mimicry that I can tell is Brown Creeper-like notes at the start and the phrases from 2:04-2:09 secs, which sounds a bit like Least or Yellow-bellied Flycatcher. For the 2nd recording, it moved away from the other robins and continued singing, this time in a normal upright posture, with its own unique individual caroling song. What a bird!
