Observation details
*Rare. Previously reported bird at Peninsula B of Tommy Thompson Park. Viewed at approx. 3 km distance from top of office tower downtown. Horrific photos at 60x zoom of a large white bird sitting amongst the cormorants by the bird blind (not in the water or at the northeast tip of B where the swans hang out). The somewhat shaggy folded wings and drooping tail come through in one of the pics. Tried to spot it from Cherry Beach later in the afternoon around 5:30 pm but it was not visible.
