Observation details
Extremely vocal male in the canopy along the railroad tracks, first detected by its frequent singing (a verse every 3-5 seconds)--a high, choppy "seepa-seepa-seepa..." blending directly into a lower-pitched trill (audio recording attached). The bird sang repeatedly from high in the canopy and at one point moved into the lower canopy and was visible from below--the features I saw well were the bright yellow underparts (unstreaked), gray head and bold, complete white eye ring. I could not see the upperparts, but these features coupled with the song were diagnostic. I managed one serviceable phone-binocular photo (attached).
