Observation details
With a roving flock of American Goldfinches. The Lesser was first observed in the canopy of riverside trees (first three photos) but it departed with the flock in a couple of minutes. The flock visited the safflower seed feeder about 30 minutes later. I was able to take a few more mediocre photos before the flock departed again. Total observation time was about 8 minutes. No observations since. White wing patches (base of primaries) conspicuous in flight. First record for north-central Ozark region of Arkansas and the 10th or 11th record for the state.
