Media notes
Image 1/3 of light toned warbler. Bird showing overall drab tones of light grey-brown back, wings of similar color with no contrasting markings, brown-toned tail, face washed with yellow. Faint eye line yielded appearance of light supercilium. Yellow wash continues onto throat. Buffy tones from back continue in belly and breast, with no notable streaking or additional coloration. In image 1/3 faint yellow appears to be shown in undertail covers (see additional images for better views). Bill dark. Faint, fine eye ring. Overall impression yielding very light plumaged Orange-crowned Warbler. If given less of an eyeline, I would almost be tempted to consider an immature female common yellowthroat, but foraging behavior also seemed inconsistent with going in that direction.
Observation details
W. Black: Additional bird entered into checklist for apparent Orange-Crowned Warbler, but showing a rather light plumage with notably light-toned (white with mottled yellow?) undertail coverts.
