Observation details
Small, slender songbird, streaked breast eliminating mockingbird, also showing no white wing patches in flight. Lacking the rich ruddy brown of a Brown Thrasher. Initially spotted as it popped out on top of a bush in field here: 41.84771578399176, -88.18248098528213. It would move from bush to bush on the north side of the path as we attempted better looks and photos. Eventually it flew into the tree patch south of the path here: 41.84702963794968, -88.18335507128657 where we lost track of it while trying to confirm identification and get the word out. Total time with the bird was approximately 10 minutes. Seemed fairly approachable and was definitely not the skulkiest thrasher I have seen, and I imagine it would be lingering along the tree line south of the path.
