NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut #1. Bulk reel #108. Time: [blank] AM to 9:25 AM. Weather: Fair. 203 tape. a) Calls. Apparently a territorial conflict (intraspecific) of birds at an ant swarm (Labidus praedator). (Ed Willis noted at least three birds this species present and he thinks there were probably two males and two females.) Quality: 2. Level: +3. In the second section there is definite conflict with one female chasing another female away from the swarm. Quality: 1-. Level: +3. 3.75 ips. LN. b) A different kind of vocalization, given by a male. This seems hardly primary song, but so far I've never heard anything that I would classify as primary song for this species. Quality: 1. Level: +3. 3.75 ips. LN; Quality: 2+. Level: +3. 7.5 ips. LN. Habitat: Field.
