Observation details

Male. Near small dam in tall grass but not slushy despite the rain last week. Unmistakable with white throat and slaty blue back. Flushed at first and flew into blackberries about 9am. I almost stepped on it while looking for it and it flew a second time about 20m. Called twice in response to playback, each with three notes but then stopped Caught one note on my phone which is uploaded. This record is very isolated.
