Observation details
I am pretty certain that I am last among all birders to finally get a glimpse of this bird. After being kindly pointed out to me a couple of days ago by the Tuesday Group, I was able to get more looks on two separate occasions during today’s walk. Like Tuesday, it was roaming the edge of the berm overlooking the north pond. During my second look today it took flight across the water to a clump of tules, disappearing from sight (and, thus, the return to my normal experience with this bird). It is, perhaps, a younger bird because of the lack of any clear white on its tail?
