Observation details
Bright all-yellow bird observed bathed in golden sunlight amongst the treetops in Longnecker Gardens at 6:45pm. Two slightly lighter yellow wing bars on a slightly darker yellow wing. Immediate impression was a Yellow Warbler or an Orange-crowned Warbler, due to the intense yellow color, but the presence of two wing bars eliminated those two species from consideration. I started recording and Merlin recorded a high-pitched buzz and correctly identified the bird as a Pine Warbler. The color of the bird was obviously influenced by the setting sun as is common during sunset.
