Observation details
There were six PESA near my observation point (close pictures) and then a large flock that kept spooking up, flying around and then landing in a wet muddy area with sparse vegetation probably half way or more to the fence beyond the end of the runway. I initially guessed “180”, but I suspected that was a pretty low estimate. So I printed, gridded, and counted the birds in the flock in the in-flight shot. That turned out to be 481 birds, so I added the 6 near birds for the total of 487.
