Observation details
Continuing juvenile, first seen in flight at 9:12am. Later seen flying down river. Apparently trying to migrate with a group of Great Egrets. The bird got close York County air space, when the young Peregrine dive bombed the bird. It dropped it’s head straight down just before the Falcon could make contact. After this it quickly returned back up river and joined the roosting Egrets and Herons. After it was attacked, all of the Egrets put there necks straight out. Either to make themselves look bigger or so that they could pull it in if attacked.
