Observation details
Continuing great find. Male with bright yellow throat and solid black chest. Head with more uniform dark blue-gray plumage, and more white on wing, than seen on breeding male Myrtle subsp. Thanks to Chuck H. for relocating the bird and letting us know. He found the bird on the south berm near the eastern interior north-south berm. It flew into an oak above us, then quickly moved to the tree island inside the impoundment, where only poor distance photos were possible. Tony W. and Alex C. said they had the bird earlier on the far western berm in the Gumbo Limbos.
