Observation details
Early! Dropped in over the cove/culvert with the other swallows not long after I arrived and was still flying around when I left. Seen very well on both sides of the road. Slightly smaller than the NRWS/TRES, more of a chocolate brown above compared to the warmer brown of the NRWS, very clearly defined brown collar, short tail, and more "mechanical" sounding calls. Unlike the other swallows, which seemed to swoop and skim from the surface, the BANS would fly up then almost plunge-dive, then back up, then back down, etc. like a sine wave. I might have some usable pics.
