Observation details
Found by Linda Chittum and Ada Jones at Mack Mesa lake. The Glossy Ibis was associating with a White-faced Ibis. Careful study of the Glossy Ibis indicates it had the field marks: dark eye, blue-black skin in front of eye with narrow white border that did not extend behind the eye, no pink/red on face, gray legs without red, especially on knees (as seen on WFIB). The GLIB also had a noticeably thinner body than the WFIB. (References: The Sibley Guide to Birds book.). See photos.
