Observation details
Initially no swallows present. Around 8:20, spotted extremely distant group of swallows working down middle of lake toward TFSP. Out of nowhere, a massive swarm appeared in near-vision around 8:25, circling around waters at mouth of Salmon Creek. Only other swallow was single Barn Swallow. Distant swallows still observed over by TFSP, probably working mouth of Taughannock Creek. Small subset of swallow flock remained, periodically landing on sticks and branches on gravel island. Accurate count (of Tree Swallows). All disappeared by 9:15 or so.
