Observation details
The male and female that nested here in summer 2020 returned to the beach the last week of April, then this morning, May 3, an additional 3 Piping Plovers arrived on the beach. Two are from NY and one is from Toronto Island. There were many interactions, interesting to watch. Thank you Monica, Piping Plover biologist at the park, for information. The plovers already have a well-signed fenced off area of the beach where they successfully nested last year.
