Observation details
Few examples of females of this hybrid out there but this one looks pretty convincing. This bird shows a pintail-like bill pattern and a long tail with pointed central tail feathers, but the build is too stocky (especially the thicker neck), there is a dark eye-line and the underwing is mostly white with few markings. The speculum showed dark blue to greenish iridescence depending on the light. The feet are an odd beige colour.
