Observation details
1x1 count. A pair (n=2), then a group of 7, then a group of 11. So, 20 in total. They were widely separated: the pair was at the Greenlee feeders; the 7 were just west of the Fairy Garden; the 11 were in planted trees at a residence at the terminus of South Fork Drive. Media below. ML616801226 is the male in the pair. ML616801237 are the male and female chippering softly. Athough I was close to the birds, they were giving just these soft chippering sounds. Lovebirds, yeah? ML616801238 is the sound of the second flock, with 7 birds. The birds were fairly loud; rain also audible. ML616801240 is one of the birds in the third flock, and ML616801245 is the sound of that flock. The birds were loud; rain also audible. I've got the first line for a haiku: "Bushtits in the rain..."
