Observation details
(Rare & Unreported Dot) Photo. Ooo I'm a bit proud of this find! Flushed with a lesser yellowlegs letting out a weak "queedle" and displayed uniform pale armpits. Followed the bird in bins until it landed with someother shorebirds, which in following up closer were black-bellied plovers, about here: 33.139813,-79.340827 Managed a couple of scope pics which illustrate pretty well the contrast in size, thinner bill thickness, dove-like face with a bold supercillium, and difference in overall color, which was more pronounced in the scope than the photo turned out - a warmer more brown color that contrasted with cold gray of the black-bellieds. Surprised how few records there are nearby, and only one from this hotspot. Fun find.
