Observation details
2 immature swans were swimming separately on the lake, one swimming with Canada Geese. I believe the one approached by the Mute Sawn could be a hybrid Swan. There are differences, so could this be a Tundra-Trumpeter hybrid? The eye isn't really connected to the bill, and it tipped its head back, showing mottled pink and red over the base of the bill. The head is less peaked, however; the bill-forehead is also v-shaped. On the other swan, the crown/forehead appears more sharply slanted. This one is slightly curved at the forehead. Size appears to be about the same as the Mute Swan. The male Mute swan flew over to this swan and was circling and showing signs of interest.
