Observation details
Seen among the blackbirds that were foraging along Vaissade Rd. I'm not sure of this, but I think this individual may have been of this subspecies. Basically, it stood out as being a Red-winged Blackbird that was entirely black--red was only occasionally visible near the bend in the wing when a breeze would rustle the surrounding black feathers. No yellow colors were visible. I can't tell what/where the median coverts are, and I never noted what the bird looked like in flight. I also don't know if this is a weird molt thing. Super open to feedback.
