Observation details

Presumably same birds as reported by others. At edge of Thompson Bay on the beach, foraging; one was bathing/preening. Short sandpiper with slate colored backs, spotty underside, bill that's yellow at base and dark otherwise, hint of white eye ring + dark crescent to the fore of the eye. See pictures.
