Observation details
Very tricky species to find in Zambia being restricted to the Simungoma/Machile corner along the M10 between Sesheke and Kazungula; with a small enclave in the Sioma GMA. Appreciated that they are far more common in Zimbabwe but we did not expect to find them in the industrial area of Bulawayo. Credit to Yakov Sabag who first spotted one bird on Monday 18 March which Victoria and I successfully twitched on the 26th.
