Media notes
The sky was filled with hundreds of displaying larks. It was a sunny morning after the past two mornings of heavy rain following a few months of dry spell. Most larks (a mix of Somali Short-toed and Singing Bushlark) were vocalizing from flight - some high int the sky, some a few m over the dry shin-high grass, and on a few occasions a Singing Bushlark would sing perched from the bare ground or between grasses. The Winding Cisticola -like calls are indeed from a lark.
Observation details
Roughly 100 per km average for the whole duration, with perhaps 200+ on some stretches.
