Observation details
At the time of the observation, I was not sure of the ID, and quickly forgot all about the bird that I photographed. Looking at the photos over a month later, I think I know what this bird is, but am not a hundred percent sure. At first, I thought that it might be a female Grey-backed Sparrow-Lark, but I no longer think that is correct. There is no sign of any dark area on the belly in the few photos that show anything of the underparts; the coloration of the bill appears to be wrong, as the Grey-backed Sparrow-Lark has a horn-colored bill. Thanks to Jacob Henry for taking the time to view my photos and helping me with this ID. As of 3 May 2024, I have emended the checklist, and the four "lark spuhs" are now Pink-billed Larks.
