Observation details
**RARE. Seen by many, a longspur with a big white supercilium, streaky upper breast and buffy wash on the lower breast and belly, white shoulder patch, hint of white wingbars. I have very poor photos but the bird was well-photographed by Gloria and others. I am told this is some kind of transitional plumage, probably a subadult? Huge thanks to Mary Beth Kooper for fining it and Tim Healy for IDing it, and to the fellow who let me look though his scope, and to Gloria H. who figured out where the bird had flown to so I got another look at it.
