Observation details
Continuing, found the day before. I was able to relocate the bird within ten minutes of my arrival in which it was hanging with a group of 35 pipits. The bird was approximately 200' away, but was on the sod with no obstructions, so I was able to watch it for at least 15 minutes. I managed to capture a few images through my scope. The small winter plumaged sparrow-like bird displayed the signature dark auricular pattern, warm buffy nape, buffy breast collar, streaked flanks, small thin bill and rufous-edged coverts. It was breezy, which made it difficult to scope long periods. The flock changed positions a few times, lastly moving to the westside of the dirt road. I left at this point to return later in the day.
