Observation details
Mystery bird, highly suspicious for SBGU/VEGU/similar hybrid, quite distinctly not any of the usual suspects, ID currently is leaning VEGU from various other folks, may edit if necessary. First noticed as an oddly dark colored HERG type bird feeding on piles with bright pink legs/feet, mantle color closer to LBBG but not quite that dark and overall size within HERG margin of error plus or minus depending on the bird's positioning. Wing pattern intriguing, string of pearls sort of appearance and white subterminal spots visible, p10 window apparent. Iris color dull but pale, smudgy around eye. White on back of secondaries/tertials certainly present but perhaps not quite SBGU wide, although bird is also clearly worn. Be careful if you chase, roads have been slippery and compost in particular isn't paved
