Observation details
Early. Exceptionally so even for this region. Long yellow legged shorebird probing and foraging along grassy patch of flooded marsh. Slightly larger than nearby KILL, light gray backed , pale underside and bill specific to species. ie. shorter than Greater Yellowlegs. Unusually early sightings of many species, most likely due to warmer than usual winter and global climate change and habitat depreciation. Reported yesterday by Dave and Debbie Suggs. Photos TBA
