Observation details
We generally have a good number of robins nest here in the summer but seeing all these robins huddled together in the spring storm today was something new. Most of them had dark heads which to me says males, but there were a couple robins that may have been female too. In addition to the ones sheltered beside the building there were robins in the trees. Some would come and go from the sheltered area to the Hawthorne trees which now have very few berries left, all the berries shrivelled and dark now. Some of the robins were foraging in the snow for the dried up berries on the ground under the trees too.
