Observation details
First heard HOSP/EVGR-like call near Skinny Pancake. Initially wrote it off as a weird-sounding HOSP, then on my way back up from the waterfront I realized the sound was coming from a bird circling overhead. Was a huge surprise to look up and see a parakeet-like outline flying in circles! Long-tailed and long-crested with bold white wing edges. Lost sight of the bird for a bit before following its calls and relocating it perched near the intersection of College & S Champlain. Hope this escapee has found some shelter, as its a snowy day here in Burlington as I finally upload this sighting after the great eBird outage of 2024.
