Observation details
Went looking for GSW specifically after recent reports. Heard 2 drumming from different corners of the wood at same time. Was led a merry dance by one of them as I tried to locate it. At times it seemed to be drumming on the tree next to me but couldn't spot it. Eventually it flew directly over my head. It kept returning to the same area of wood over the space of about 45 mins giving some nice but fleeting views and alarm calling at one stage. Rubbish record shot attached (I was pointing at the wrong tree 😃). Galway tick!
