Observation details
Adult. Appeared very dark mantled on the water, even from a distance. Mostly clean and white headed, with a little bit of streaking on the nape. Proper pink legs and feet. Nice sized tertial skirt and significant white trailing edge on the wings (secondaries). The primary pattern showed the classic "string of pearls" on the outer primaries, with large mirrors on p10 and p9, and white tongues on p8 through p6. Seemed like a decent sized gull, and was slightly larger than the majority of the Herring Gulls it was often next to. This is seemingly the same gull that was seen in Woodland, WA on March 8th, 2024.
